Epilepsy Foundation Resources for Your Patrons

The Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado and Wyoming are helping to provide information for patrons to learn more about epilepsy.

According to the CDC, in 2015 about 3.4 million Americans had active epilepsy, a condition that produces seizures.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado and Wyoming offers valuable information, referral services, and activities for any in your community that may have this condition.

Informational materials for people with epilepsy and their families covers such topics as the basics (Epilepsy 101), seizures and safety, first aid, alert devices, and both medication and non-medication therapy and management. The organization offers community connection and support through support groups and an annual Walk to End Epilepsy. Education and training includes live and on-demand webinars and the Epilepsy Connect Symposium. Camps and retreats offer support and encouragement for children, teens, young adults, and families to build confidence, friendships, and life skills while experiencing the great outdoors. Mental health services are available.
